DoorDash named NRL's official on-demand delivery partner

The delivery platform also secured the naming rights to Touch Football Australia.

The National Rugby League has named DoorDash as the league's official on-demand delivery partner, with the delivery firm’s logo to appear in-goal across Saturday and Sunday matches as well as during the State of Origin and Finals series.

"DoorDash is an exciting and innovative technology company. We're excited about the new opportunities this partnership will deliver for the game and our fans,'' NRL CEO Andrew Abdo said in an announcement posted on the NRL’s official website. "Both our businesses align putting rugby league fans first and enabling suburban economies to thrive."

DoorDash has also secured the naming rights to Touch Football Australia.

"We are excited to launch our partnership with the NRL and provide on-demand delivery for fans across the country, from food, snacks and drinks,” said Michael McCash, DoorDash’s consumer marketing senior manager.

"Our partnership gives us access to the community-spirited Touch Football, which is one of the fastest growing social sports in Australia. We're also proud to be part of the Indigenous Round this year and will be championing the work the NRL does to highlight this important program.”

"We look forward [to] working with the team over the coming months and expanding our support in these areas,” McCash added.
