Baskin-Robbins sweetens up Lady Cilento
The dessert chain on Monday gave away ice cream cakes to families at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane.
David Jordan, General Manager Baskin-Robbins Australia, said, “At Baskin-Robbins, we make people happy by creating unforgettable memories and experiences and we’re glad to bring a smile to these amazing kids and their families.”
Children’s Health Queensland Chief Executive Fionnagh Dougan said the Baskin-Robbins visit and entertainment brightened the day of many patients and families.
“Providing a one-off and delicious treat like ice-cream cake to our patients and families, as part of a balanced diet, is a wonderfully kind and generous gesture,” Dougan said.
Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital worked with Baskin-Robbins to help coordinate the occasion for over 250 children and their families.
The event included a range of entertainment for the families including a magician, face painter and giveaways. In addition, Baskin-Robbins’ world-famous ‘Pinky’ spoon mascot made an appearance to entertain the children.
As part of the event, children and their families were treated to over 400 slices of ice-cream cake ranging from Double Chocolate Chip, Choc Mint and Cookie Overload.
