Zambrero set to open two more restaurants in Queensland
Adds to its long list of chains.
The Mexican food chain will celebrate the opening of its newest restaurants in Castletown and Rockhampton by holding a $5 Burrito Days on Wednesday, 2 April.
Dubbed as the only fast food chain in the world founded by a doctor who is also a philanthropist, Zambrero calls itself a humanitarian organisation that funds its aid and development projects through the sale of healthy Mexican food.
Throughout the year, Zambrero donates a meal, through its Plate 4 Plate initiative, to someone in the developing world every time a customer purchases a burrito or bowl. Since Dr. Sam Prince founded the chain in 2005 in Canberra, more than 1.8 million meals have been provided to those living in poverty around the world.
“Where and what you eat for lunch and dinner can make a difference,” says Dr. Prince.
“Our Plate 4 Plate initiative means that every time you eat at Zambrero, you’re helping to feed the world’s hungry.”
Zambrero’s Castletown and Rockhampton restaurants will be the group’s eighth and ninth locations in Queensland. The Castletown restaurant will be located in Castletown Shoppingworld, in Townsville, and the Rockhampton restaurant will be located in Stockland Rockhampton, eight hours South of Townsville.
