SumoSalad announces labelling changes following allergic reaction at store

Nut contents to be more prominently displayed.

Following from an incident with a nut allergic customer in one of their stores, SumoSalad has made the decision to change all of their product labelling to better communicate the presence of nuts in their menu items.

From September every salad will be labelled clearly to specify exactly what type of nuts are contained in it, if any.

As CEO Luke Baylis explains “We take matters like this very seriously and understand how distressing this has been for the customer and her family... Life threatening allergic reactions can have catastrophic results. We believe this small positive step will go a long way to avoid this type of situation happening again”.
