Ribs and Rumps heads south

First store in Victoria to open at Northlands Shopping Centre in Melbourne’s north.

Ribs and Rumps, the Australian steakhouse which started out in Manly 16 years ago is set to open its first Melbourne store in the Northlands Shopping Centre on March 17th.

The chain, which has 11 stores across Queensland and New South Wales and also operates in Kuwait and Dubai, has been looking for opportunities in Victoria for some time. As Operations Manager Shane Beyer explains “We are excited to be entering the Victorian market. It’s been on our radar for some time but we wanted to make sure the first Ribs and Rumps location in the state was perfect before committing to Melbourne. We think the new dining precinct at Northland Shopping Centre ticks all the right boxes...Another great draw card for the Victorian market is our beef is sourced directly from Gippsland which means diners can truly enjoy the best meat the state has to offer”.

The store will be franchised and run by Nick Kokkoris and Giovanne Cirillo who have more than 40 years’ combined experience in hospitality and retail management.
