RFG results announcement- what you need to know

Bumper profits reported, with pizza chains performing particularly well.

Retail Food Group (RFG), Australia’s largest multi-brand retail food franchisor, and owner of chains including Donut King, Michel’s Patisserie, Pizza Capers and Crust Gourmet Pizza, announced its half yearly results today. Commenting on the group’s performance, Chairman Colin Archer said “the solid foundations laid for the Company, notwithstanding ongoing retail uncertainty and the differential growth maturity profiles of the Brand Systems, continues to position RFG as a proven performer well able to deliver all stakeholders superior outcomes on a sustainable basis”.

Highlights included:

- Record 1H14 NPAT of $17.3 mill, an increase of 18% on the PCP
- 8% increase in revenues to $64.6 mill
- Record new outlet growth of 79 stores, taking total outlets to 1,401
- 13% increase in interim dividend to 10.75c per share
- Admission to the S&P/ASX200 in December 2013
- Brand System average weekly sales (AWS) growth of 0.8% and average transaction value (ATV) growth of 3.
