New Taiwanese QSR Hot Star launches in Sydney

The chicken retailer is moving to Sydney.

After operating two stores in the Melbourne CBD, the fried chicken brand, which originated in Taiwan’s famous Shilin night market, has set its sights on expansion to the Emerald City, with its 96 Liverpool St site set to open on March 2nd.

“We’re thrilled at how Hot Star has been received in the Melbourne market” says Kyle Lam, owner of Hot Star. “Our existing stores... have been extremely successful and we are confident that Sydney-siders will appreciate the flavour, texture and quality of our product”.

Of course Hot Star is following a well trodden path of Taiwanese food success stories including Din Tai Fung dumplings and bubble tea. It seems Aussies have a taste for all things Taiwanese!
