LeWrap gives back, donates for the homeless
The chain holds a charity day and raises $10,000, to be donated to St. Vincent De Paul for the homeless.
LeWrap held a "$5 Wrap the Homeless This Winter charity day" last 1st August, where $1 from every wrap sold was to be donated to the organization. The chain's fresh vegetable supplier, RB Fresh Produce, supported the venture.
“These people are on the streets through no fault of their own but because of certain unfortunate experiences that they have had in their lives. They may have lost hope and willpower to get back on their feet,” said LeWrap co-founder Peri Kiratli-Celik.
LeWrap’s 18 stores across NSW and the ACT participated in the charity event and about 6,000 wraps were sold on the day. LeWrap Business Development Manager Miki Kanamaru said it was a terrific outcome for a wonderful charity.
“We were so proud to join together as a brand to raise funds for such a special event. It not only raised funds to contribute back to those in the community that are less fortunate, but it also raised awareness within our franchise network and customers about the more than 105,000 people in Australia that are homeless. It also promoted the small things we can do to make a big difference in their lives through great organisations like St Vincent’s de Paul Society,” she said.
