All aboard the Croissant Express train

Major changes mooted following new CEO appointment.

Croissant Express, the 25 year-old Western Australian based chain has announced Neil Soares as their new CEO and have foreshadowed big changes for the pastry and bagel group.

Mr Soares, who’s previous roles have included being WA State Manager for Quick Service Restaurant Holdings, thinks that innovation will be key. He says “we’re currently doing a review of everything we do, across every aspect of the business. We want to develop products that will not only appeal to today’s generation but tomorrow’s as well. Once we’ve been through that review process I think we’ll be really well placed to grow the business nationally and internationally. The plan is to double the number of stores we have to 52... we want to build on our convenience, change the way production works, lower the costs and increase margins for franchisees”.

Getting more specific on likely menu changes, Sean Tomlinson, Chairman of Consolidated Food Holdings, parent company of Croissant Express commented “Eating habits have changed over the last 25 years, that’s why we need to offer more than just a white bread style, lunch menu. We want to offer breakfast, lunch and dinner that which will include a new range of hot foods, soups and salads”.
