
Meet Rolld’s new QLD State Manager
Michael Jamieson has joined the Rolld team.
Vietnamese QSR, Rolld, announced the appointment of Michael Jamieson as the brand’s new Queensland State Manager.
Jamieson will be involved in managing expansion operations and training new franchisees, along with the implementation of new systems.
Below is a Q&A with Michael Jamieson, Rolld’s new Queensland State Manager.
QSR Media: What makes you excited about your new position?
Jamieson: There is nothing that's doesn't excite me about the new position or the brand, Its Youthful, Fresh, Healthy and has real public appeal and the food tastes great.
The fact the directors are so involved and dedicated motivates me everyday, along with being part of something new with endless potential.
Having the responsibility for the roll out of the new sites in Brisbane excites me the most, being involved in a expansion plan as rapid as we have really gives you job satisfaction.
QSR Media: What 3 goals are you focussed on?
Jamieson: Build the best Brand support team in Queensland available.
Selecting Quality Franchise partners to help grow the Brand.
Focus on profitability and ensure the highest systems & standards are in place and adhered to for the long term sustainability of the brand.
QSR Media: What will you do differently in this position?
Jamieson: I'm always looking for new challenges and areas to grow as an individual. I put passion and excitement into every role I do, so that won't be any different in this case.
My new role will be more involved with leasing, Franchisee Selection and reasonability for the Queensland Operation.
QSR Media: What changes are you planning for?
Jamieson: Our rapid interstate expansion in Brisbane and Sydney.
Developing new and innovative design and Operation changes.
Menu Development changes and supply control.
QSR Media: What are your key business philosophies?
Jamieson: Break down every element of the business model and always look at ways to improve the total operation.
Quickly adjust to change, and always have a plan in place.
Reward and recognize employees that treat their job with respect and dedications. I see staff members as assets rather than liabilities.
Understanding you can learn from anyone at any time.
QSR Media: What previous positions prepared you for this one and how?
Jamieson: I was the first franchisee and owner of a similar food business and understand what it takes to run a new franchise, and know the challenges new franchisee's have to face.
I helped develop the groups systems and operation in my 8 years with the brand.
I trained incoming franchisee's whilst running a multisite operation, I managed over 40 staff members and dealt with lease renewals and franchise agreements.
