5 things you need to know about Michel's Patisserie's new MD, Steve Pagett
Steve Pagett has recently been appointed as Michel’s Patisserie’s new Managing Director. Pagett was the former CEO of another of Retail Food Group’s brand systems, Brumby’s Bakery.
QSR Media: What makes you excited about your new position?
Pagett: Michel’s Patisserie is a strong, longstanding Australian brand that resonates well with our consumers. The coffee segment promises great opportunities for growth so I’m excited to explore how Michel’s can benefit.
QSR Media: What three goals are you focused on?
Pagett: The three goals I am focused on as Managing Director are continuing to build upon the relevance to consumers of the Michel’s brand, increase the brand’s market share and of course to provide a return on investment for all shareholders.
QSR Media: What changes are you planning for?
Pagett: Michel’s have some great plans in place that will be actioned over the next financial year, including the launch of a new concept, the Michel’s Evolution, which will have a broader appeal for our customers and set apart from our competitors.
QSR Media: What are your key business philosophies?
Pagett: I have three business philosophies that have held me in good stead thus far: Keep it simple; deliver what the consumer wants and deserves; and empower the team to deliver first class results for all stakeholders.
QSR Media: What previous positions prepared you for this one and how?
Pagett: With over thirty years in the retail and franchising industry including roles across Retail Food Group I am well prepared for the position of Managing Director and am looking forward to adding to the already outstanding Michel’s Patisserie Brand System.
