Zambrero arrives in Ireland
The Mexican food chain opened its first restaurant in Europe on Hatch Street in Dublin, spearheaded by Leinster Rugby player and now General Manager for Zambrero, Ireland, Darragh Fanning.
“We’re delighted to bring Zambrero to Dublin… our 115th restaurant globally and our very first in Ireland, said Chief Executive Officer Karim Messih.
“As a socially-conscious business, we want to take Zambrero to markets that share our passion for good food that does good.”
Fanning was first introduced to Zambrero playing professional rugby in Australia with former St Mary’s Dublin First 15 Coach Shaun McCarthy, also a key partner in Zambrero’s expansion into the Irish market.
“I had my first Zambrero experience playing rugby in Australia and instantly fell in love with the food and the energy of the brand. Seeing similarities in the Irish market, I jumped at the opportunity to introduce Zambrero to Dublin.” Darragh Fanning, General Manager, Zambrero Ireland.
“Zambrero is the kind of quick-service brand that Dublin hasn’t seen before. They’ve got a distinct commitment to fast, fresh and nutritious food that’s also making a real impact to underprivileged communities across the world,” said Fanning.
