They now have four QSR brands.
Australian Franchising Corporation (AFC) has officially announced its acquisition of gourmet burger bar, Urban Burger.
With the recent acquisition, AFC now controls four QSR brands, specifically Wok Me, The Burrito Bar, Global Burgers Bar and Grill, and Urban Burger.
A total of ten Urban Burger stores—six Victorian outlets and four South East Queensland, have been added to AFC’s portfolio, raising their numbers to more than thirty restaurants.
Luke McGrath, Managing Director of AFC, will stand as Urban Burgers’ new director, while former brand owner, Jason Chainey, will remain in an advisory capacity.
The company revealed plans of redefining Urban Burger’s marketing strategy and with particular emphasis on local area marketing, reducing procurement pricing, and crystallizing all aspects of the brand’s tenets and future direction.
Along with this, AFC will be also be hiring a Business Unit Manager who will be keeping an eye on the brand’s operations, and ensure continued sales growth.
