Over 80 Zarraffa's Coffee locations remain open across three states

Stores will have markings to help customers comply with new social distancing measures.

Zarraffa’s Coffee said it is still trading via takeaway in the majority of its store locations, with over 80 stores operating across NSW, WA and QLD.

All stores will have a maximum allowance of people at each location, depending on the area. Said maximum number will be displayed upon entry, in order to comply with the 4m 2 distancing measures.

Stores are expected to implement markings on the floor to help guide customers with the new social distancing measures, and have removed tables and chairs whilst placing signs around the stores.

Zarraffa’s CEO Marnie Sheldon said that the implementation of the drive-thru model in 2009 has laid “excellent groundwork” for the chain’s operations and provided a framework for a large number of Zarraffa’s stores to cope with the trading restrictions.

“70% of stores are now drive-thru, making things easier for customers but we are also heavily focused on how we can work with our shopping centre and strip mall locations to keep everyone’s doors open,” she said. “Some of our landlords have gone above and beyond to try and help us keep our doors open, particularly working together to meet these hard times with a united front.”
