Original founder of Crust serves up Greek street food with a twist
Partners up with Pony Dining Group.
Zeus Street Greek recently opened its doors in Drummoyne, New South Wales marking the partnership of Costa Anastasiadis from Crust Gourmet Pizza and George Kyrprianou from Pony Dining (operators of The Rocks, Sydney and Eagle Street Pier, Brisbane).
"Not many people want to go into business with an old friend but who wouldn’t with George’s credentials? Pony Dining is a great brand and George brings great hospitality credentials to Zeus," said Anastasiadis.
The childhood friends saw a gap in the market for fast, fresh Greek food and at the same time, wanted to share their culture and heritage.
"The inspiration for Zeus was to give Sydneysiders an innovative food experience that incorporates the founders’ passion for Hellenic food culture and tradition," he explained.
He described Zeus as "the Greek street food we know and love but given a contemporary, modern twist." Adding that the brand is fresh, modern and fun.
Anastasiadis shared that Zeus is set to open and operate a handful of additional eateries in suburban Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in 2015 with no plans for franchising yet. Their current goal is "to have Aussies fall in love with Greek food at its best!"
