Huxtaburger opens up for franchising
The Melbourne burger brand is taking its American-style burgers to the people, giving fans the opportunity to own and run their very own store.
Huxtaburger currently has stores in five locations; Hawthorn, Melbourne CBD, Eastland and Prahran, alongside its debut Collingwood store. The plan is to bring the city’s original cult burger joint to a new set of neighbourhood hot spots across the city.
DC Strategy, the franchise developer, has taken Huxtaburger under its wing to execute the transition.
“We can’t wait to take our burgers to more Melburnians,” Huxtaburger General Manager Matt Fickling said.
“The casual dining space is booming and the demand for more premium options is stronger than ever. As a relevant and recognisable brand that’s backed by awesome food credentials, Huxtaburger offers a robust business model with a solid strategy for growth and national expansion over the next five years.”
“Since we opened our first Huxtaburger store, we knew it was something that we wanted to share, and we’ve never changed our minds. We believe with the right people, who share the same ambition and passion, we can achieve something really special,” Huxtaburger Director Dante Ruaine said.
Rod Young, Founder and Chairman of DC Strategy, said that he sees a booming future for Huxtaburger, particularly as the burger market continues to expand.
"We're excited to be working with such a motivated management team. The Huxtaburger brand and culture is a key part of its success and a legacy that will continue to grow," he said.
