Hungry Jack's opens its 400th store
The burger chain launched its 400th restaurant in Forrestdale, Western Australia.
Hungry Jack’s founder and executive chairman Jack Cowin said Hungry Jack’s success was due to its unique food offering, customer loyalty and the ability of its management and staff to innovate to meet customers’ needs.
According to Cowin, the new opening was an important milestone in Hungry Jack’s growth story, and currently around 15 per cent of Hungry Jack’s restaurants are operated by franchisees.
“What started as one restaurant and 10 staff in Innaloo 44 years ago has now grown to provide 400 communities across Australia with tasty, convenient, flame-grilled burgers," he said.
“We are proud to have provided more than 600,000 people with employment and best-in-class training to equip them for their working careers. Many employees who started behind the counter still work with us today in executive and managerial roles. And we intend to continue to grow, with plans to open around 15 new restaurants in the first six months of next year, which will provide at least 800 jobs.”
