Gotcha eyes opening 50 new franchise stores in Australia
The “luxury” bubble tea brand operates 200 stores worldwide.
Australian founded bubble tea brand, Gotcha, is seeking to open 50 additional franchise stores across the market within the next two years before launching into New Zealand and Europe.
It currently has 200 stores worldwide, of which, 47 are in Australia.
Gotcha is known for its creative marketing and collaborations with pop-culture brands such as Hello Kitty and Sesame Street.
“From the very outset of Gotcha in 2018, we’ve endeavoured to offer an exceptional bubble tea with multiple points of difference to the offerings of our competitors,” Gotcha Founder Roger Fu said.
Aside from expansion plans, Fu revealed that they are also seeking to release a “make your own bubble tea kit” and new drink flavours to be released late this year.
“We consult our franchise partners and we have one of the lowest – if not, the lowest – franchisee turnover rates in the industry. Even during the current period of notable inflation, we’ve refrained from increasing any costs to our franchisees during the past three years because we’re the sort of business that’s not afraid to do things differently, and we always proceed with carefully considered strategies for success,” said Fu.
Apart from Sesame Street and Hello Kitty, the tea brand will also partner with Pokemon soon.
