Eagle Boys Pizza lands in Papua New Guinea
It plans to open 13 stores in the country.
Eagle boys Pizza has arrived in Papua New Guinea and has already opened its first store in Central Waigani, a suburb in the country’s capital city, Port Moresby.
The brand has partnered with retail company, CPL Group, to bring Eagle Boys Pizza to the country. The brand plans to launch a total of 13 stores within the next two years.
Its second store will open outside the CPL Group’s Stop and Shop supermarket in the city centre at the end of August.
“CPL Group has been trading for close to 30 years and matched Eagle Boys’ lengthy experience in the retail market. Eagle Boys’ expansion into the PNG market is the perfect opportunity to continue the network’s growth internationally.
“The expansion to Papua New Guinea demonstrates that Eagle Boys is attractive to the foreign market with companies such as CPL Group committed to the brand’s growth and development,” said Bruce Scott, Eagle Boys Pizza CEO.
Scott also added that the brand chose CPL Group because of its retail strength and strong connections with the local communities in the country. The company has been operating since 1986, and has become one of the country’s biggest retail networks.
“We recognised partnering with Eagle Boys was an excellent opportunity for CPL Group to continue its growth in the retail sector and Eagle Boys Pizza is a fantastic addition to our company’s port folio.
“This opportunity uniting Eagle Boys and CPL Group ensures two world class companies are partnering to ensure successful results. Opening the Eagle Boys stores is also a great benefit for local communities in PNG and the country’s economy,” added Michael Taylor, CPL Group’s General Manager for Supermarket and Food Business.
