“We are experiencing positive momentum across the business, particularly in Australia and New Zealand with Same Store Sales growth of 5.2% recorded for the first four months and a total of 26 new stores already open.
“We are well on our way to achieving a new store build record in FY14 and we’ve got some exciting product launches and digital innovations in the pipelines,” said Meij.
In addition, the Company revealed that it has appointed Andrew Rennie as their new CEO Europe.
Rennie will be the Company’s CEO Europe and CEO France, where he will oversee and run the Company’s growth strategies for France, Belgium, and Netherlands.
With this development in the Company’s structure, Andrew Megson—the brand’s CEO Europe, will now be heading the Australian and New Zealand market as the new CEO.
Domino’s also highlighted in the report that the FY13 results reflected the company’s acquisition of a 75% shareholding of Domino’s Pizza Japan, cementing the Company’s store network to over 1,250 stores.
Meij shared that the Company is planning to introduce an internally funded franchise program in Japan to support the brand’s best managers in buying their own stores, and relocate some of the stores to improve visibility and location.
“We are excited about the inclusion of Domino’s Pizza Japan in the DPE Group. The existing management has already achieved some significant milestones and we believe we can take the business to the next level.
“We have already seen a strong start to the year in Japan with Same Store Sales growth of 9.7% and store openings on track,” added Meij.
