Cinnabon to open first Australian outlet in Brisbane

The upcoming site is slated to open on 14 December.

Cinnabon’s first location in Australia will officially be in Brisbane.

Opening on 14 December, the Toombul site will release three flavours: the Classic Makara Cinnamon Roll, Chocobon and Caramel Pecanbon - in mini and large sizes. There will also be CinnaPacks of 4 and 9 minibons available.

“We were confident there was a market for Cinnabon in Australia as there’s nothing else quite like it, but we’re amazed by the love for this brand and will do our best to open bakeries around the country as soon as we can,” The Bansal Group director and co-owner Gaurav Bansal said in an announcement.

The Bansal Group previously secured the master franchise rights to expand the U.S.-headquartered chain in the country. Apart from Queensland, where they are also expanding their Carl’s Jr. stores, Bansal previously told QSR Media that NSW is another key location for their first Australian Cinnabons.
