Asian fusion restaurant Junk opens at Sippy Downs

This will be its second location in the area.

Asian fusion restaurant Junk is set to open its second venue on the Sunshine Coast at Sippy Downs in February next year.

Owner Scott Hoskins said Junk Sippy Downs will be located on the corner of Fairfax Street and Sippy Downs Drive in the Devcon Building Group’s mixed-use HQ development which includes 30 one and two-bedroom residences as well as commercial and retail space.

“We’ve got a fantastic brand new 239m2 site which can accommodate up to 130 seats so it’s essentially the same size as Junk Ocean Street with lots of onsite parking as well. We are located right opposite Sienna College within the heart of the Sippy Downs Town Centre and a short walk from the University of the Sunshine Coast and several public and private schools as well as large employment hubs such as Youi,” Scott Hoskins said.

Junk first opened on Ocean Street Maroochydore in 2014 and has built a reputation for providing its customers with a fast, fresh and affordable Asian dining option in the Ocean Street precinct.
