Red Rock expands to Queensland with new store design and brings in franchise recruiters
Leaves the franchising to specialists to focus on expansion.
Red Rock Noodle Bar is now focusing on expanding within Queensland, with a particular focus on Southeast Queensland and locations in and near North New South Wales.
To support the chain's growth, Phil Colburn, Managing Director of Red Rock Noodle Bar tells QSR Media that they are ooking at bringing in a franchise recruitment company to drive this aspect of the business.
He explains that "getting the correct people from the start is the key in driving our business forward and is such a specialist role." The biggest challenge to recruitment, he notes, is finding the correct fit for ones franchise.
"It is a lot easier spending the money up front to get the correct person [rather than] spend all that money at the other end when they are exiting system because they are the wrong fit for the business."
Colburn emphasizes that with [a franchise recruitment company], their available resources allows Red Rock's current team to concentrate on training and coaching.
Looking ahead, "2015 is just to take Red Rock Noodle Bar to the next level with expansion into growing and expanding markets with another 10 stores on line by the end of 2015."
"[We will] continue to build on 2014 in the way of our high training standards and customer expectations of our 97% Fat Free Noodle and Rice range within our stores," he notes.

Red Rock Noodle Bar has come up with new designs to accompany its store expansion.
Colburn describes the new design as "a more modern Asian street feel."
The design has a more modern feel with darker warm colours. The chain adds in Asian street prints and open their kitchen up, to put an emphasis on the cooks, as sort of a "show" for diners.
According to Colburn, the idea was further reinforced at the QSR Media conference, "it reassured us we were heading in the correct direction with our design."
Meanwhile, another thing customers can look forward to are is the chain's expansion of its product line. Red Rock has launched a Yum Cha range. "With a big emphasis on our Dumplings with an expansion of flavours, and introduced traditional Pork Buns onto the menu as well as we head into summer," he added.
"We have Wagyu Beef just launched at the moment as well with the help of Corey Parker, just in time for Footy Finals time. We have a few new products that will also be hitting stores heading into summer with a continued focus of healthy options."
