Carl's Jr. eyes extensive expansion within Queensland in 2018

The Bansal Group also announced its plans to provide consumers with products they love, stay innovative, and bring new things to market for them to try. New promotional products are slated to be released throughout 2018 to cater to the increasingly digitally connected Australian consumers.

QSR Media: What's new at Carl's Jr.?

Since opening our first Queensland store in Redbank Plains, we are still excitedly busy serving our guests each week in our restaurant. Of course we have rapid expansion on the horizon, however, at this moment in time our first restaurant is focused on settling in our team, and enjoying interacting with our guests and getting them familiar with our brand.

QSR Media: Tell us about the group's expansion of Carl's Jr. What opportunities do you see in Queensland?

The Bansal Group are committed to extensive expansion within the QLD market and currently have sites in Rothwell, Pimpama, Eagleby, and North Ipswich tabled to open in the first half of 2018, and another’s to open by the end of 2018.

QSR Media: What are the demands of Australian consumers today and how does Carl's Jr. deliver?

Today’s consumer is very savvy and knows what they want. They are very connected to brands both virtually and in real life and as a result hold them to very high expectations. They demand Hot, Fast, Fresh, and Friendly service and products at all times. HFFF are the 4 areas The Bansal Group focus on when serving our guests. We want them to walk in hungry and walk out “Unhungry” and delighted with their overall guest experience. To deliver on this, comprehensive system procedures, staff training, inspiring management and a commitment to the Carl’s Jr. way is required in our stores by each and every member of our team. Additionally, we will provide consumers with products they love, stay innovative and bring new things to market for them to try. This is something Carl’s Jr. consistently seeks to do with new promotional products set to be released throughout 2018. Australian consumers are also very digitally connected. This means not only do we need to delight them instore, but we also need to delight them and address their needs online as well.

QSR Media: What changes are set to launch in stores following the expansion?

Whilst The Bansal Group are constantly looking to evolve, the main aim after each opening is not to make changes, but rather to focus on bedding in good practices and people to ensure that each of our stores operates at exceptional levels at all times. We want to cement our place in our guests' minds as their restaurant of choice. To do this we simply need to focus on the basics. Exceptional guest service, delivering hot, fresh, delicious burgers and speedy service, in a clean and modern restaurant. Of course, along the way, The Bansal Group in conjunction with Carl’s Jr. and our development partners will look to tweak and refine our store layouts to ensure they evolve with our needs.

QSR Media: What's in store for Carl's Jr. this 2018?

Being a global brand, Carl’s Jr. is constantly evolving, especially at the moment in the Australian market. 2018 is already shaping up to be a big year of growth in Australia for Carl’s Jr. and The Bansal Group in QLD. Growth in store numbers as we look to open double-digit stores in QLD and growth of our people as we concentrate on making Carl’s Jr. the place to go for juicy, delicious charbroiled burgers. Because if you're gonna eat, you should Eat Like You Mean It.® It is an exciting time to be a part of the Carl’s Jr. QLD team, especially for our people as they join at the ground level of a new, fresh and exciting brand to the Australian market.
