CKE Restaurants revealed that they are already in the middle of talks with various franchise groups as Carl's Jr prepares to enter the Australian market. With the brand experiencing success in their New Zealand stores, they believe this success will follow in the Australian market as well.

QSR Media: What's happening with your plans in Australia?

Lyerly: CKE Restaurants is in talks with several highly qualified franchise groups with the resources to make a major commitment in Carl's Jr. for the Australian market.

These entrepreneurs see how Carl's Jr. out-delivers the competition with our innovative menu strategy that focuses on developing premium, sit-down restaurant quality menu items.

QSR Media: Can you give us a progress report on your NZ stores?

Lyerly: The New Zealand restaurant sales are mind blowing. We just held our annual international franchisee conference and Forsgren NZ Limited won a sales award as well as our company's founder's award due to his pioneering efforts in New Zealand.

QSR Media: Any other comments?

Lyerly: Based on our due diligence research and analysis conducted in the Australia market, we believe the Carl's Jr. brand will resonate with the Australian consumer looking for premium quality.

Our restaurants are famous for 100% Black Angus beef char-broiled burgers, hand-scooped ice cream shakes and made-from-scratch biscuits.

Carl's Jr. is also attractive to franchisees for our innovative advertising and marketing campaigns and our pioneering concepts in service and products that engage consumers and keep fans coming back for more.
