Oliver’s ramps up food management with tech startup Prepit partnership
The web app allows businesses to show nutrient status of products.
QSR brand, Oliver’s, partnered with Australian tech startup, Prepit, to improve its food management for customers.
Prepit’s app, Nutrition Now, was launched to allow food businesses to provide accurate and updated information on allergen and nutrient status of products to customers.
Using a QR code, Prepit users can access nutrition and allergen information and filter for products which may include their food allergies, intolerances, or other dietary requirements.
Prepit co-founder, Tim Sharpe, called the app a “game changer” due to its efficiency.
“No more updating websites or having multiple physical versions of allergen and nutrition forms – when changes are made, consumers have the latest information,” said Sharpe.
Oliver’s CEO Tammie Philips said this app will fast track their food management systems.
“For years we have used multiple programs to operate the different areas of food management. Prepit has enabled us to streamline all of these separate processes into one efficient platform that manages and gives clear visibility on all of our recipes, food costs, inventory, supply chain and nutritional information,” said Philips.
Prepit’s Nutrition Now app also enables food businesses to comply with the Food Standards Code by providing information to consumers as part of their allergen management plan.
