Get to know Ross Worth, CEO of Hog's Australia's Steakhouse and Funky's Mexican Cantina
Worth says he is currently focused on improving Hog's customer experience and driving operational efficiencies across the business.
QSR Media: What makes you excited about your position?
I'm excited to see our franchise business owners grow and succeed in business, to see our great staff enjoying the Hogs working environment and watching some of them progress and get promoted through the ranks from juniors to management and even becoming small business owners, to see families come in and enjoying our great food, and service and unique Hog’spitality, as well as introduce new initiatives into the business that make it stronger, as well as launching new restaurants so more guests can enjoy what Hog’s has to offer.
QSR Media: What are your key business philosophies?
Culture is key for me and you need to look after your greatest assets - your team, customers, and suppliers. You need to continually evolve, develop and grow, or you’ll get left behind. Work hard, play hard, and have fun while doing both.
QSR Media: What three goals are you focused on?
I am currently focused on improving our customer experience, driving Hog's brand awareness, and operational efficiencies across the business. If I can add a fourth, we’re also focused on further expanding our Mexican proposition, Funky’s Mexican Cantina, which is currently in Queensland and WA.
QSR Media: What long-term changes are you planning on?
A new restaurant design for Hogs, mobile ordering, and drive-thru restaurants.
QSR Media: What previous positions have prepared you for this one and how?
My first position at KFC as a dishy when I was a teenager, and the small number of other jobs since, have all helped me prepare for my current role - I got to see the hospitality from all areas of the business as well as many transformations within the industry over many years.
