Zambrero’s Plate 4 Plate initiative reaches 50 million milestone
The chain now has more than 215 restaurants across five markets.
Zambrero announced a major milestone, with the number of meals donated through its Plate 4 Plate initiative reaching 50 million.
The chain, known for its selection of Mexican burritos and bowls, has been partnering with Rise Against Hunger globally and Foodbank in Australia for the campaign, which aims to contribute to ending world hunger.
“Achieving the 50 Million Meal milestone overnight is largely due to the passion, enthusiasm and commitment of our Franchise Partners and our people who have made sure that we reached it despite the multiple challenges presented as a result of COVID restrictions and shut-downs,” Zambrero CEO Matthew Kenny said in a statement.

“We also can't forget the most important part of this journey, our customers - without them, none of this would be possible. We are sincerely thankful for their ongoing support and look forward to many more meals donated together in the future,” he added.
Zambrero now has more than 215 restaurants in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States.
“Zambrero is proof that values-driven businesses can be very successful while also driving positive change in the world. We’re going to celebrate 50 Million Meals for a little while but we are also looking towards the goal of 1 Billion Meals donated,” Kenny concluded.
