Subway, Football Australia secure ‘largest national team sponsorship deal’ 

The sandwich chain is the new rights partner of Socceroos.

Football Australia revealed that it secured a three-year partnership with sandwich chain, Subway, the largest national team sponsorship deal.

In a statement, Football Australia said Subway will become the new naming rights partner of the country’s National Senior Men’s Football Team, the Socceroos.

Subway will acquire the naming rights of the Subway Socceroos, Subway Olyroos, Subway Young Socceroos, and Subway Joeys.

Under the deal, Subway will become an official partner of the CommBank Matildas and the Australia Cup, which has over 700 teams from all over Australia.

“Subway will have exclusive category rights for the Socceroos, CommBank Matildas, men’s and women’s youth national teams, and the Australia Cup,” read the statement.

Football Australia CEO James Johnson said they are thrilled with the partnership as they move to the Australia Cup Final on 1 October in Sydney.

Subway and Football Australia will officially launch the partnership at the Socceroos Centenary and Farewell match ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.
