Domino’s Pizza, LiteHaus int’l donate unused computer, technology materials to remote communities
The firms seek to help the education gap in remote and rural Australian areas.
Domino’s Pizza Enterprises donated unused computers, monitors, and laptops to Australian-registered charity, LiteHaus International, each quarter to provide education materials to students living in remote areas in the nation.
LiteHaus International and Domino’s are seeking to close the education gap amongst young Australians by providing a surplus of technology materials.
Aside from donating educational tools, LiteHaus International also cuts e-waste that ends up in the landfill.
Domino’s ANZ CEO David Burness said by donating their unused technology, it will help LiteHaus’ goal to reduce electronic waste.
“With Domino’s operating stores across Australia, from big cities to regional towns, We are committed to giving back to the communities in which we operate. LiteHaus International does an incredible job in providing technological resources and equipment to bridge the divide with those who might otherwise go without, while also having a positive impact on the environment,” said Burness.
LiteHaus International distributed more than 3,000 devices all over Australia and has helped to divert over 30,000 kilograms of devices from moving to the landfill.
