Domino’s charity extends partnership with Orange Sky Australia
The pizza brand’s charity is committing $50k per year to support Orange Sky’s projects.
After a successful one-year partnership in 2022, national, Brisbane-based charities Give for Good, Domino’s Pizza’s registered charity and Orange Sky Australia have announced they are embarking on a three-year partnership to continue providing support to people who are experiencing homelessness or hardship.
Give for Good will be committing $50k per year to support Orange Sky’s work in Australia’s remote and rural communities over the course of the partnership. So far, Give for Good has supported Orange Sky’s Outreach Operations in the remote Western Australian community of Bidyadanga by providing funding towards a vehicle which offers a mobile laundry service to those in need.
The operation helped provided the Bidyadanga community with 1,068 loads of washing, 90 volunteer shifts, and 859 hours of conversation.
Domino’s charity hopes to provide an additional 6,250 loads of washing, 521 volunteer shifts and 4,167 hours of conversation to the remote communities in which Orange Sky operates across the country, including Bidyadanga, Wadeye in the Northern Territory’s top end, and Palm Island.
Give for Good secures much of its funding through Domino’s ‘Round Up for Charity’ initiative. Generous pizza lovers who wish to support Give for Good’s partnership with Orange Sky Australia, along with other important Australian-based initiatives, are encouraged to round up their next Domino’s order when paying online.
