The Coffee Club teams up with children's charity group for festive cups

The cups were designed by primary-school children in three age categories.

The Coffee Club and Variety – the Children's Charity have joined forces to spread holiday cheer this Christmas by inviting Australian children to design festive takeaway cups.

The collaboration aims to connect with customers during the holiday season whilst supporting a worthy cause that benefits children nationwide.

The competition, which has recently concluded, invited primary-school children from three age categories to submit their best Christmas-themed designs. The winners would have their artwork featured on The Coffee Club's takeaway cups, along with receiving prizes for themselves and their schools. Additionally, two runner-up prizes of Coffee Club Gift Cards were awarded in each category.

"The Coffee Club is so excited to have Aussie kids involved this year to be a true representation of Christmas cheer! Our first-place winners have really impressed our team, and we can't wait to see the designs come to life in-store this Christmas,” Scott Meneilly, CEO of The Coffee Club Australia said.

The winners were announced as Oliver from St Columba's Primary School, QLD for Year 1 & 2; Oliver from Ashmore State School, QLD for Year 3 & 4; and Imogen from Peregian Springs State School, QLD for Year 5 & 6. These young artists, chosen from hundreds of entries, will have their designs featured on The Coffee Club's Christmas cups and receive $1k worth of Coffee Club gift cards to be shared between themselves and their schools.

John Lazarou, co-director of The Coffee Club Australia, highlighted the importance of connecting with customers, especially during holiday seasons. He mentioned, "At The Coffee Club, we love creating opportunities to connect with our customers, especially around holiday seasons. We are excited to not only showcase the creativity of these kids but also shine a light on Variety and the amazing work they do for children across the country."

The Coffee Club's 2023 holiday takeaway cups, in collaboration with Detpak, will be available in stores from November to December, just in time for the festive season. In the lead-up to the launch, The Coffee Club will feature the winners and their stories on their Instagram profile, providing a platform to share the children's creativity and experiences.
