Managing Director Michael Sfetkidis reveals how StickyPOS® helps QSRs provide quicker, more accurate orders
StickyPOS® reduces order error rates by as much as 50+%.
As time-poor Australians turn to quick service restaurants (QSRs) for fast and convenient casual dining experiences, brands are facing tremendous pressure to increase accuracy and speed for orders placed in-store, via drive-thru or for delivery. This is why StickyPOS® play a crucial role in helping QSRs reduce order error rates by as much as 50+% through its unique, patented labels.
According to Michael Sfetkidis, Managing Director of CP Label Solutions, the licensee of StickyPOS® across Asia-Pacific, a major challenge QSRs are facing is that they are now receiving an ever-increasing number of orders across multiple order channels that their kitchens were never set up to handle at peak times.
“This is resulting in higher, often 10+%, error rate in fulfilment which is leading to reduced customer satisfaction, reduced repeat business and profitability. The implementation of StickyPOS® in all QSRs, both large and small, in Australia and overseas has resulted in a 50+% reduction in order fulfilment errors,” he adds.

What is StickyPOS®?
StickyPOS® is a unique direct thermal label product which is liner less meaning no liner waste. It was specifically designed for the QSR industry to improve order accuracy and speed of service during the order fulfilment process. StickyPOS® labels can be stuck to any surface during the preparation and fulfilment process which eliminates the need to fulfil from kitchen display screens and the use of staples, sticky tape or writing on cups and packages.
StickyPOS® is the only self-cleaning label solution ensuring maximum printer uptime and eliminating residue build up in printers. In addition, StickyPOS®, unlike traditional labels, produce zero waste and does not contain BPA, a chemical commonly used in thermal papers.
How does StickyPOS allow QSRs to provide quicker, more accurate orders?
By implementing StickyPOS®, QSRs can improve speed of service and order accuracy in the fulfilment of customers’ orders in two ways.
Firstly, for customised orders, a StickyPOS® tag can be printed and then applied to the cup, wrapper, box to simplify the fulfilment process instead of using KDS’s or non-sticky tags. For example, every coffee order is unique so the details of the order, including personalised information such as customer name, car registration, does not need to be written on the cup.
Secondly, for consolidated orders, typically for pick up, drive thru and home delivery where several products are placed in the same bag, by sticking a tag on the bag that lists all products ordered, the QSR can pick the order accurately and in turn the customer can see exactly what is in the enclosed bag.
What are the benefits that QSRs see by reducing the order fulfilment error rate by 50+%?
The key benefits of reducing error fulfilment rates include:
- Happy and satisfied customers – for example a top 10 QSR chain in the US has implemented StickyPOS® across all ordering channels and is now considered to have the highest order accuracy rating in the industry.
- Increased revenue and profit through repeat and new customers
- Reduced costs – for example, for home delivery orders there is no repeat delivery cost or charge from third party delivery providers.
- Improved job satisfaction for staff due to a more efficient fulfilment processes and reduced customer complaints.
From your vantage point, what are the opportunities and challenges QSRs should watch out for in the next few years?
Traditionally revenue for major QSRs in Australia has been around 30% in store and 70% drive thru. The great opportunity for QSRs is to meet the increasing demand for pick up and home delivery orders.
The StickyPOS® solution can provide significant benefits to support these opportunities, through faster and accurate fulfilment of orders and delivery, for these two ordering channels.
