Voucher-driven social enterprise project to support businesses launched
The initiative allows businesses to secure cash flow amidst the lockdown.
A ‘pay it forward’ enterprise project to help local restaurants, pubs, cafes and live music venues to get through the lockdown has been launched.
Shout Your Local allows businesses that have signed up on their platform to sell gift vouchers to customers that will be valid for up to three years, securing cash flow during this time.
The project is founded by software entrepreneurs Mark Murphy and Joshua Terrington who recently ran an event technology business that worked with some of Melbourne’s well-known music venues.
All voucher management and sales are taken care of by the Shout Your Local! Platform, which has partnered with payments platform Stripe and gift card provider GiftUp!.
Voucher information and sales can be managed on the website, and downloaded as a spreadsheet for manual redemption or integrated with Shopify, Square and Vend point of sale systems.
