Ferguson Plarre launches new app-based loyalty programme

The bakery chain found that 59% of their customers prefer to join a loyalty program with a digital app.

Ferguson Plarre has announced that they launched their Sweet Rewards club mobile app, replacing their former loyalty system Bakers Four.

The Sweet Rewards club is a point-based system that captures all in-store purchases and receive 20 points for every AU$1 spent. An AU$5 voucher can be obtained by earning 5,000 points and is given to a member’s birthday month.

The bakery chain changed their loyalty system after customers gave feedback that their earlier card-based programme was outdated.

“We are really excited to be able to reward our customers in such an innovative way, to offer instant and more frequent rewards. We want our customers to feel appreciated and this is a great way for us to be able to do this, and communicate with them in a more direct and personal manner,” Steve Plarre, CEO of Ferguson Plarre, said.
