Deliveroo Australia launches Marketplace+
The food delivery company expects that the platform will allow them to have 12,000 restaurant partners in 2018.
Deliveroo has announced that it will launch the Marketplace+ platform in the country, which allow restaurants use their own riders through their rider network.
Marketplace+ is said to include benefits such as increased earnings to its riders, having new customers for existing restaurant partners, and helping local restaurants extend their delivery services.
Deliveroo predicts that this will add around 6,000 more restaurants to the platform by the end of the year.
“Deliveroo will work with thousands more restaurants as we grow across Australia. This will benefit customers, who will see more exciting food options, restaurants, whose sales will go up, and riders, who will get more work as more people use our service,” Deliveroo Australia country manager Levi Aron said.
“This service will allow Australian restaurants to fulfil more orders at times of high customer demand and extend the times that they can offer delivery services, meaning more amazing food will be available to more people more often.”
Deliveroo is currently available in ten cities in Australia but has plans to bring the new platform to more areas in the coming months. Marketplace+ have already launched in the UK, France, Italy, Netherlands and Belgium and promises to continue its expansion throughout Europe.
