Ben & Jerry's goes cashless in new Wellington Airport store
The chain first launched in New Zealand in 2015.
Ben & Jerry's in New Zealand is trialling a store that can only process cashless transactions.
A world-first for the ice cream brand, the Wellington Airport site serves as a "testing ground" for the brand, whilst looking to capture a share of the more than six million passengers that pass through annually.
"Although we know the shift towards an entirely cashless system will require an initial adjustment process for consumers, we are confident with the technological progression in this space," Ben & Jerry's ANZ country manager Bert Naber said.
With the addition of the Wellington Airport site, Ben & Jerry's now has five locations in New Zealand.
