Zambrero launches The Million Dollar Burrito promotion
Customers who buy a regular burrito, bowl or nachos qualify to play the scratch to win game on mobile or desktop.
Zambrero is giving customers the opportunity to play for the chance to win one million dollars, courtesy of a new promotion.
Dubbed “The Million Dollar Burrito”, the six-week event also offers a prize pool that includes menu items like burritos, nachos and bowls along with drinks, brownies, fuel cards and gift cards.
Customers who buy a regular burrito, bowl or nachos qualify to play the scratch to win game on mobile or desktop. Everyone who plays is automatically entered into the Million Dollar Burrito draw. Those who get three matching prize icons in a row will win a prize.
The Mexican chain, which has over 185 restaurants throughout Australia, said the promotion is the biggest it has done so far.
“We’re really looking forward to the launch. One of the best things about having such a big prize pool is that we’re going to see the positive reactions of our winning customers in all of our restaurants every single day!” Zambrero chief executive officer Matt Kenny said.

The event was brought to market by Zambrero’s full-service agency Lionize and promotion agency Hive Marketing. Lionize’s marketing drive includes programmatic, TV, digital audio, OOH, and social platforms including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
“Given the wide reach of Zambrero across Australia, we had to make sure stores in areas like Darwin, Mt Isa, Mildura, Hobart and Griffith had the same amount of coverage and airtime as stores in Perth & Adelaide,” Lionize investment director Peter Stowe said.
