Zambrero celebrates new Barbacoa Beef recipe with free burritos on May 23
It is the restaurant chain's biggest giveaway to date.
To celebrate its new and improved Barbacoa beef offering, Zambrero will treat nine cities across Australia to free burritos nationwide on May 23.
The new beef offering is influenced by the traditional method of Mexican cooking; Barbacoa, where meat is slow cooked with seasonings. Zambrero’s says their Barbacoa Beef has been slow cooked through the sous vide method for up to 18 hours in "a smoky, yet sweet sauce with chipotle, garlic and ginger, giving it a rich flavour and a tender, juicy consistency."
Burrito enthusiasts can pick up their latest offerings at central locations either in the morning from 11.30am or in the afternoon from 3:30pm. They can also visit Zambrero’s Facebook page or website for their closest location. Anyone who purchases a Barbacoa Beef burrito or bowl on the day at one of Zambrero’s 168 participating restaurants will also receive a second one completely free.
The promotion is linked to their Plate 4 Plate initiative, where Zambrero will donates a plate of food to someone in need for every burrito or bowl purchased. Since its founding in 2005, it has donated over 22 million meals around the world.
