Guzman y Gomez celebrates Cinco De Mayo with $10 Burritos and Bowls
The brand plans to honour the Mexican folk dance Danza de los Quetzales in its stores.
Guzman y Gomez (GYG) is celebrating Cinco de Mayo on 5 May, serving $10 Burritos and Bowls across its restaurants in Australia.
Cinco de Mayo, meaning the fifth of May, commemorates the day in 1862 when French forces planned to invade Puebla, Mexico, but the Mexican army prevailed against all odds. This unexpected victory became a symbol of Mexican spirit and resilience in both Mexico and the United States. Today, Cinco de Mayo stands as a major bi-cultural celebration honouring the beauty of Mexican culture.
