Find out how you can boost bookings by almost 600% in one week
A Sydney restaurant saw bookings increase from 30 to 200 in the first week of TheFork Festival.
As most economies slowly reopen and show signs of recovery, F&B businesses are striving to get back on their feet after a crippling pandemic. Australia is one of the few countries that handled this worldwide health crisis relatively well, and the nation now enjoys some semblance of normalcy with widely relaxed restrictions. As a result, most restaurants have started welcoming dine in customers again, but the industry is still faces a long road to full recovery.
In an effort to revitalise the restaurant industry, TheFork held a 6-week nationwide dining campaign from the 15th of February till the 18th of March. TheFork Festival aimed to help restaurants boost revenue by encouraging customers to dine again with discounts of up to 50% on their final food bill.
The Festival was a huge success with 230 restaurants participating this year. TheFork also saw its traffic increase by 27% during the Festival compared to the previous month. The campaign attracted over 30,000 bookings and generated a massive 80,000 covers for the restaurants.
Jazushi, a cosy Japanese restaurant in Surry Hills, saw first-hand how impactful the Festival was. It has always been able to attract and satisfy customers with great food and an amazing live jazz entertainment every night, but TheFork Festival propelled the business to achieve even greater heights.
Jazushi saw bookings surge from a weekly average of 30 to a whopping 200 during the first week of the Festival. They initially offered 50% discounts that sold out so quickly that they had to switch to running 30% off. Even with the smaller discount, their bookings were still at around 62 per week, which was double of what they were producing before they joined the Festival.
“Overall, I am happy with the Festival! It helped me boost the number of guests who visited the Jazushi listing and our website,” exclaims Jazushi manager Yuki Ishikawa.
The first leg of this year’s Festival may be over, but interested restaurants can still achieve the same results that Jazushi enjoyed. TheFork Festival is a bi-annual event that is open for all restaurants, even those that are not current customers of TheFork.
The second leg of the campaign will run from July 1-31. Register now by clicking here and don’t miss the chance to introduce your brand to lots of new customers and boost your revenues.
