Product of the Month - KFC's Sweet Sesame Crunch

QSR Media finds out more about this new product:

QSR Media: Sweet sesame crunch, how did you come up with this?

At KFC, we are constantly innovating new products to meet our customer’s evolving palates. Our team recognised that Asian flavours and ‘fast-fusion food’ were two key trends in the Quick Service Restaurant industry. So we decided to put on a new twist on an old favourite; Sweet Sesame Crunch fuses the popular “sweet sesame” flavour with an all-time favourite, our crispy chicken.

QSR Media: What are your expectations of the range?

We’re very excited about the launch of this new product. We have spent some time perfecting the flavour and trialing the Sweet Sesame Crunch with consumers, including the local residents of Kentucky, NSW. As such we’re confident that our customers will enjoy this great new flavour.

QSR Media: How did you arrive at the $2 price point?

The $2 price point is to provide our customers with a great price to trial the product.

QSR Media: Will this be a permanent addition to the KFC menu ?

At this stage Sweet Sesame Crunch Chicken will be available for a limited time only.
