LOTF launches the Eco City Burger
It’s described as LOTF’s ‘most sustainable burger yet’.
Lord of the Fries has sourced almost all of the ingredients in the Eco City Burger locally from within Victoria. The burger is 100% vegetarian.
The ‘eco-happy burger’ consists of aioli, pickles, lettuce, onion, vegetarian mozzarella cheese, tomato if preferred, and the Lord of the Fries ‘beef’ patty, topped off with the Sauce of the Month “Darwin Sauce”.
LOTF said, “A vegetarian burger like the Eco City Burger has a much smaller eco footprint and produces significantly less carbon emissions than a meat burger when considering the origin of the product to the plate."
According to the announcement, it’s been estimated that a switch to eating vegetarian burgers instead of meat burgers could result in a 27% decrease in greenhouse gas emissions per year.
The Big size Eco City Burger is available for RRP $7.95 and the mini Eco City Burger at RRP $3.95 at all Lord of the Fries locations until March 31, 2013.
