Subway looks to challenge traditional winter favourites with new cheesy garlic bread range

The three new flavours are available for a limited time.

Looking to challenge traditional winter favourites, Subway Australia announced a limited-edition range of subs made with a garlic bread base that contains mozzarella cheese inside.

The new range comes in three forms: the Ultimate Toastie, which is the chain’s spin on traditional garlic bread, with zesty spice seasoning and melted mozzarella; the Ultimate Meatball Sub and the Ultimate Pizza Sub.

The new range is the latest in Subway’s menu transformation, following its launch of its grilled panini range.

“Subway is no longer just about our freshly-made iconic subs, guests can also enjoy hot, grilled paninis, flavour-packed wraps and crispy salads,” Subway senior brand manager Marissa Brennan said. “We’re continuing to innovate our food, with new menu options designed especially for the Aussie lifestyle.”

Similar to other subs, customers can personalise their Ultimate subs, and any sub on the menu can be upgraded to Ultimate for $1 for any Subway 6-Inch and $2 for a Subway Footlong.

The Ultimate Cheesy Garlic Bread range is available from July 1 in all Subway restaurants across Australia and is also available for delivery via Uber Eats.
