Huxtaburger partners with We Love Our Lamb to launch its first lamb burger
Available from the 27th of January, The Shazza is created to celebrate the cultural diversity of Australia this month.
The Shazza features a 150-gram Victorian lamb patty seasoned with native pepper berry, tomato kasaundi, wild rocket, and tzatziki placed between Huxtaburger’s soft burger buns.
Huxtaburger CEO Matt Fickling said, “We’re absolutely thrilled to partner with Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) and its We Love Our Lamb summer campaign this January. Diversity is one of Huxtaburger’s key brand pillars and we believe Australia Day should be on a day that is inclusive for everyone.”
Fickling added, “As a nod to this and to show our support, we have also aligned the launch date of our limited-edition lamb menu item with the new date of the Hottest 100 countdown on January 27th. This is Huxtaburger’s very first ever lamb burger, and with a carefully curated mix of ingredients from around the world, this burger celebrates diversity, which is what Huxtaburger stands for.”
Meat & Livestock Australia’s foodservice marketing manager Mary-Jane Morse said, “In true Aussie spirit, this summer we are celebrating freedom of choice, freedom of speech and our nation’s ability to put aside our differences and join together over a Lamb BBQ, the meat that brings everyone to the table. We’re excited to have Huxtaburger on board with a burger that captures these sentiments and showcases quality Aussie lamb.”
The Shazza burger will be available at $12.95 for a limited time, in all Huxtaburger locations from the 27th of January.
