Di Bella Coffee unveils 2018 Reserve Limited Edition
The brand's new blend is now available for pre-order.
Di Bella Coffee general manager, Michael Drummond, said each year the brand dedicates a significant time to the important process of sourcing, sampling, selecting and roasting coffee beans in an effort to find the perfect blend for their next annual reserve. “This year, we set ourselves an additional challenge,” he said. “We wanted to ensure that the coffee
selected for our 2018 Reserve Limited Edition not only tastes amazing, but also reflects the positive change we believe the coffee industry is undergoing. We want to be part of that change, and where we can, help drive it.”
The team’s quest resulted in a bio-dynamic blend from the Camocim Estate in Brazil and the Shyira Washing Station in Rwanda.
“These farms were selected for their long-term sustainable practices and for creating opportunities for farming communities, which is what will make the coffee industry viable and relevant in the long term,” Drummond said.
Camocim Estate is a well-known bio-dynamic estate located in Pedra Azul, Estado de Espírito Santo in Brazil. The owner of the farm, Henrique Sloper, is an advocate for sustainable farming and won a Cup of Excellence award in December.
The coffee produced by the Shyira Washing Station in Rwanda, a brand new station built by Muraho Trading, is the highest in the country and is outstanding in its clarity and sweetness.
Di Bella Coffee’s 2018 Reserve Limited Edition is available for pre-order from the website, with roasting to begin in late January and the first shipments of the blend to be distributed in early February.
