The Coffee Club New Zealand's Hobsonville site launches gluten-free offerings
The move is mostly driven by a number of their customers having celiac disease.
The Coffee Club store in Hobsonville has announced that they now have gluten-free meals, desserts and drinks.
The store’s owners, Greg and Rebecca Bauarschi, said that the decision is driven by the growing number of customers asking if they offer gluten-free options.
“Customers often ask for gluten free because they’re dealing with celiac disease – having that option available means that friends and families can continue to eat together, even if one of them can’t eat gluten,” Greg Bauarschi said.
“Other people simply enjoy the health benefits of eating gluten free. We make sure that gluten free menu items are light, fresh and tasty, meaning that anyone can enjoy them, whether they have a health condition or want to avoid gluten for another reason,” he added.
From their menu board, gluten-free options are labelled as ‘GF’. Customers can also ask the staff if their meal of choice can be made gluten-free.
