Burger Urge unveils ‘Nuclear Double Decker Death Wish'
The chain claims it is approximately 700 times hotter than a jalapeno.
Burger Urge unveiled its ‘Nuclear Double Decker Death Wish’ for National Burger Day.
The spicy new item is a double angus beef burger packed with chillies, including the Carolina Reaper, Red Ghost Chilli, Big Yellow Mama and the addition of the Chocolate Bhutlah.
Customers, the chain says, are required to sign a safety waiver and are handed goggles and gloves with their meal.
The item also has a poultry version called the Lady MacDeath version, and vegetarian and vegan versions.
“After seeing our most-hardened grillers in pain last year, we had to think long and hard whether we could even safely cook the ‘Nuclear’ Double Decker Death Wish, let alone responsibly offer it to the public,” Burger Urge head chef Joel Chrystal said..
The new item is available at Burger Urge’s 26 restaurants across Queensland and New South Wales, including the chain’s newest grills in Bundaberg and Dubbo starting May 28.
