Oporto shoots brand campaign in Portugal
The brand is celebrating its foundations.
Antonio Cerqueira brought the flame grilled chicken of Porto to Bondi back in 1986. After 30 years and having opened 130 restaurants across the country, the Oporto team went back to where it all began, to capture the true essence of the brand.
Vanessa Rowed, Head of Oporto Marketing “We are serious about sharing the authenticity of our brand, shooting in Portugal was therefore the perfect location for us to capture content for our new brand campaign. Being in Portugal enabled us to immerse ourselves in the culture that Antonio brought with him all those years ago. It was worth the investment because now, not only do we have incredible content to share across a variety of channels, we also have a pipeline of innovative new products.”
The team focused on capturing the authenticity of Portugal life, coming up with an authentic range of content including film, photography and 360 degree footage.
The film content was directed by The Glue Society, shot by cinematographer Rob Marsh, photographed by Union’s Damien Bennett, with food styling by Katie Giovanni (celebrated for her ground breaking work for Lurpak and Tesco) - with production by Story, Lisbon. Social and mainstream media planning is being coordinated by Bohemia.
The soundtrack for the cinema and film is the track ‘Hangover’ by Buraka Som Sistema, one of Portugal’s most famous electronic bands.
Footage and imagery will be rolled out as the brand campaign across digital & social channels as well as cinema, TV and maybe even in the street.
