KFC to fly five lucky Aussies to try international menu
One lucky customer was treated to a trip to Japan.
KFC has launched a promotion where five lucky customers can try the brand’s international exclusive menu items in their country origins.
The promo, which KFC is calling the Kentucky Fried Fly Chicken, will have Aussies jumping on the KFC App to search for international menu items that can be found on KFC menus around the world.
Customers who can successfully locate and add to their cart these menu items will have a chance to win a trip abroad to that menu item’s country of origin.

The first customer to win was sent to Tokyo to try KFC Japan’s iconic Wafu Cutlet Burger, which features a panko-crumbed chicken fillet coated in KFC’s iconic herbs and spices and comes packed with teriyaki sauce, mayonnaise and shredded cabbage. In addition to trying this delicious treat in its country of origin, the winner was given a trip around Tokyo complete with tours and experiences.
Winning fans can look forward to business class flights and four-star accommodation, as well as spending money and cultural experiences to the value of $6,000 courtesy of KFC.
“We love creating fresh and exciting opportunities for fans to interact with and try KFC. Since the only thing better than an overseas trip is our delicious fried chicken, we saw the perfect opportunity to combine the two and offer our fans the chance to experience the trip of a lifetime with KFC at the heart. So, make sure you have the KFC App handy and get searching, because a world of KFC is dropping in the App, and you never know where you’ll be jet-setting to next,” Tami Cunningham, CMO at KFC Australia
The promo will run until 18 March with four new international products to be found (one at a time) over four weeks. A minimum spend of $1 within the KFC App is required to enter. Entrants must have a valid Australian passport.
